Cancer drugs are among the medicines most frequently targeted by falsifiers, putting patients at risk of receiving treatments containing the wrong ingredients or no active medicine at all.

According to the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB), fast-moving, high-value medicines are particularly vulnerable, including those used to treat cancer, specialised medical procedures and common conditions.
