In the months leading up to the award of a lucrative contract to Caring International in October 2024 to supply 98 referral hospitals with some medical machines, efforts to alter its ownership intensified.

Caring International is one of the seven contractors in the National Equipment Support Programme (NESP) that was recently unveiled by President William Ruto.
