A friend of mine once asked me, “Why do Luos call everything a resort? Everything is a resort; there’s no hotel in Luoland.” That really tickled me when I recently patronised Attella in Kisumu’s Dunga Beach.
It’s the talk of the town now, and for good reason. First, because it’s new. Second, because it’s an alternative beach establishment — er, resort — joining the few along the shoreline. Lastly, because it’s a great spot to watch the sunset as you have a drink or a meal.
