Edenville, a gated-community off Kiambu Road has sold about 50 per cent of the houses in its new phase two project as it targets younger rich buyers.
Shailen Shah, Paramount Chief estate managing director, said Edenville’s second phase is perfect for young executives and those with children since the price is lower compared to the first phase, with the units costing from Sh16.9 million.
The Magnolia and Wisteria maisonettes are three and four bedrooms, have a covered entrance porch, spacious lounge cum dining room opening into a garden terrace and a private garden.
Mr Shah said more than 50 per cent of the four and three-bedroom maisonettes have already been sold and plans are in place to build a third phase which will have apartments sitting on a 36.5 acre piece land.
The project, which is part of the greater Edenville real estate project that sits on an estimated 150-acre piece of land that was previously a coffee plantation, consists of 404 maisonettes.
The phase two units, which sit on 42 acres of land and whose total cost of construction was estimated to be Sh2 billion, are set in smaller courts compared to phase one.
Phase one, which is sold out, comprises 345 villas on 70 acres divided into courts of between 10 and 29 houses each, creating small and interactive niches within the greater setting.
Edenville Estate is located about two kilometers from Kiambu Town near Kiambu Institute of Science and Technology and within minutes of Nairobi’s Muthaiga roundabout, with the second phase extending to Ngegu Village.
The residences have plot sizes of 300 square meters, which offer sizeable gardens, greenery and tree-lined avenues, perfect for strolling and cycling.
The project being marketed by Hass Consult is expected to spice up the area, which has been receiving unprecedented growth the last few years, having attracted mega gated communities.
Other palatial estates in the area include Five Stars Meadows with 116 units of four and three-bedroom Mediterranean-themed villas, Runda Paradise which has 150 maisonettes, Kencom Sacco Homes which consists of 113- four-bedrooms units, Fourways Junction Estate and Summerfield among others.
