PesaPal takes up Visa on mobile

Electronic payments firm PesaPal has integrated mobile money as a payment option in its payment processing platform.

The integration of the Visa on Mobile (formerly mVisa) targets small businesses and businesses who have embraced cashless modes of payments.

The firm said Visa on Mobile would be available to more than 21,000 businesses online on its Pesapal Sabi and its Point of Sale payments options.

It said the new offering joins its existing card payment options like Visa, Mastercard and American Express.

“Our core aim is to help businesses provide their customers with a variety of payment options and for those customers to transact seamlessly and securely on mobile devices,” said PesaPal chief executive Mark Mwongela in a statement.

“Integrating Visa on Mobile enables us to offer our customers more flexibility when it comes to transacting both online and at the point of sale.”
