Three developers will invest Sh930 million in studio apartments for 481 families on three plots that earlier housed three families in South C, Parklands and Langat Nairobi.

Laser Freight, Trio Properties and Salsabil Heights companies told the National Environmental Management Authority (Nema) their 11 and 12 storeyed developments if approved will take two years.

Laser Freight, which has applied for change of user from single dwelling to multiple dwelling said they will demolish the one-storeyed property standing on the 0.14 acre plot to pave way for a 12-level block hosting 143 studio apartments with 15 parking bays.

The Sh283.4 million property’s rooftop will host a lap pool, a gym, showers and a washing-cum-drying area.

At Nairobi’s South C, a family dwelling is to be demolished for development of an 11 floor residential flat for 176 families by Trio Properties worth Sh343.7 million. Salsabil Heights says its 0.124 acre plot will accommodate 162 serviced studio apartments in Parklands and will cost Sh300 million rising 12 floors.
