Taiwan-based multinational AsusTek Computer Inc has announced that its Zenbook Pro 14 device will retail in the Kenyan market at Sh209,990.
The move is a slight departure from the firm’s offering in Kenya as Asus laptops are traditionally popular among college students because of their affordability.

“The Kenyan market is very fast-growing…Zenbook 14 and 13 will do well in this market because Kenyan end users like innovation and something that will help them to improve their lives,” said Asus business development manager for Eastern and Southern Africa Simplice Dieudonne Zaongo yesterday.
The firm says its shipments to Kenya have increased steadily since 2011, registering 26,000 shipments last year. The company said it was targeting 30,000 shipments this year.
The company has also partnered with projects such as Cool for School to improve access for college students through paying in instalments.
