IT systems provider Syspro is set to open a Nairobi office that will also serve as the hub for its East African operations.

“Kenya has a large manufacturing sector serving both local and regional markets. This presents an attractive investment opportunity. We see our role in the East African region as an ICT enabler for manufacturers, providing access to industry-specific solutions and driving increased adoption of ICT in both manufacturing and distribution sectors,” said Syspro general manager for East Africa, Patrick Wafula during the official launch of Nairobi operations Wednesday.

The firm deals in industry-built Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software that automate back-office functions to improve efficiency for manufacturers and distributors.

The firm has over 15,000 enterprise customers in 60 countries across the globe and is also looking to grow its customer base in Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Ethiopia.

Syspro Africa managing director, Mark Wilson, said ICT can help to facilitate and manage the complexity of these information-intensive processes, as well as achieve integration of activities within and among manufacturing enterprises.
