The Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) and the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) have signed an MoU with the aim of working together to beef up local personnel capacity.

The two institutions agreed to work together towards training workers by utilising their strengths and capacities in experience, expertise and resources.

“KIM is committed to building quality capacity in this country for enhanced institutional and business performance and this partnership should scale the efforts in this regard for more impact,” said KIM executive director Muriithi Ndegwa.

This will help build knowledge, sharing information, developing skills and influencing attitudes on the subject of human resource.

Human resource officers are involved in management of human capital through recruiting staff, training, performance-rewarding through salaries and motivation, and enhancing employee-employer relations.

“I am delighted that KIM and IHRM have come together in this partnership. KIM has a large number of human resource students.

That alone makes KIM an important stakeholder to IHRM,” said IHRM Executive Director Dorcas Wainaina.
