Payment service firm Kenya Airports Parking Services (Kaps) has partnered with a digital outdoor advertising company in a deal that will see it run adverts on parking machines.

Intime Stone Media, which is a recent entrant to the Kenyan digital billboard space, is looking to cash in on regular visitors to Kenyan malls who pay for parking using Kaps’ machines.

“We are at Galleria Mall, Lavington Mall, Aga Khan Hospital, Prestige Plaza, MP Shah hospital, Westside Mall in Nakuru, West End Mall in Kisumu just to name a few. We also have a screen along Mombasa road near Vitafoam,” said George Siangani, Group CEO of Intime Group.

The digital media firm says it currently has adverts from the Beyond Zero campaign and Coca Cola running on its promotional screens.

“Digital out of home advertising allows for real time adverts. For instance if you have a live launch of a product, the same can be screened,” said Mr Siangani.

According to him, digital billboards and pay parking points in malls, hospitals and other areas have monitoring tools with the added advantage of showing when an advert was run, the number of users who viewed a specific advert and how long it was viewed.

The information is then sent remotely to the various sites with feedback collated and shared to clients as well as being used for social media interaction with the target audience.

The digital firm says it is also looking to offer controlled WiFi at the ferry channel in Mombasa, offering the service at no charge but with ads integrated into it.
