Oman executives set to scout for deals at Nairobi expo

Executives of 100 Omani companies will be scouting for deals with Kenyan firms at a Nairobi trade fair between October 29 and November 1.

About 60 Oman companies attended the expo last year. It will be happening in Kenya for the first time.

“Omani products exhibition 2018 is set to attract about 100 firms from the Sultanate who will be showcasing their wares for four days at Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Nairobi,” said Ruby Projects International general manager Abdul Aziz Alshalali.

“Companies such as National Biscuit Industries, Oman cement, Al Samna metal manufacturing and trading and Oman Plastics will be attending the expo. Other are Voltamp Energy, Global Gypsum as well as Al Bahja Group, among others.”

The country through its national carrier Oman Air has inked a codeshare agreement with national carrier Kenya Airways (KQ) #ticker:KQ covering services between Muscat and Nairobi.

The agreement, which came into force in August last year has been making it easy for the Kenya Airways customers to access Muscat directly from Nairobi.

A code share is a business agreement between two or more airlines, which allows them to sell seats on each other’s flights and expand their network.
