Why people who cross your path do so for a reason

A middle-aged couple had finished their dinner and prayer and had just gone to bed when they heard a bunch of people screaming and a lot of commotion.

When they switched on the lights to check what was happening they heard banging on their window.

When they came out of the house they saw a group of young boys laughing and running past their house.

The couple realised that it was some prank by the young boys who had thrown eggs on their window just for fun.

They were mad and could not sleep the whole night.

The wife woke up the next morning all set for the daunting task of cleaning up the window panes.

With great difficulty she reached up to the top of the window and started to clean the panes with warm water.

She then realised that the corner of the window had a slight crack.

She was pretty sure that the eggs had caused the crack.

She was cursing the boys for their act when she realised that the crack could not be caused by the eggs and there was something more serious.

When she looked at it closely, she realised that a glass pane was very loose and it had been so for a long time.

It needed a small push to bring the whole glass down. It immediately struck her that if something was not done immediately, the window could shatter, and the glass could land on the basketball court right under the window of their apartment where her sons and their friends usually played.

She lost no time to call a carpenter and get the window fixed before evening.

In the evening, when her sons and their friends were playing basketball, she thought about the boys who threw eggs on her window and could not stop thanking them for the accident they inadvertently helped to avert

Often in life we think of why we met someone out of nowhere, why something unexpected happened to us and we attribute it to some co-incidence or mystery.

But as they say, we don’t meet people by accident, they are meant to cross our paths for a reason.

They are an inspiration in your life: They give wings to your dreams and if you don’t have one yet, they make sure you see the dream.

They are the guiding force in your life: They come into your life to show you the path, show you the way towards your dreams.

They may or may not do things drastically, but slowly prepare you to walk down your path.

They show you pain in life: They constantly try to bring you down, give you reason to get dejected, to despair and ultimately fail.

Make conscious effort to move away from such people. They help you grow in life: They prepare you to see both the positive and the negatives in life and help you outgrow hem.

And when you are at a crossroads, they help you make decisions and overcome hurdles.

They are the support system you need in life:

They come into your life not for any recognition but eventually become so important that they are the silent support behind you, providing you the much-needed strength and support.

So the next time you meet someone watch out for the reason they came into your life.
