Nairobi Garage, an office space supplier for startups, has opened a third branch at the Karen hub in Nairobi.
The firm says the new office will offer 14,000 square feet of workspace.
The firm offers co-working space, where businesses rent premises and use facilities such as meeting rooms for as short as a day or one mont.
Nairobi Garage currently operates at Kilimani and Westlands premises offering flexible, affordable workspace and selective networking opportunity for entrepreneurs, business owners, investors and stakeholders.
“We’re pleased to open the doors of Nairobi Garage, Karen to the city’s business community. Our three locations now mean that members can work from any side of town, and quickly set up operations and a presence all across the city,” said Nairobi Garage general manager Hannah Clifford in a statement.
Ms Clifford said the new office will feature 18 private offices and 150 desks, high-speed internet, and easy access to members.
The facility she said, will also feature four state-of-the-art meeting rooms, sound-proofed boardrooms and call booths.
“On-site security team, male and female showering facilities, as well as an on-site bistro will also be available,” she said.
Launched in 2014, Nairobi Garage is home to over 100 companies.
Barely a week after opening doors of the new location, the company has signed up its first member, Africa Logistics Properties (ALP), a company that acquires, develops and manages modern logistics warehousing across East Africa.
Apart from ALP, Nairobi Garage hosts diverse and large enterprises such as LC Waikiki, Carlsberg, Acumen, Asoko Insight, Opera News, MEST Africa, Africa Leadership University (through its accelerator programme ALX), TLCom Capital and Ad Dynamo.
Other companies that also started off at Nairobi Garage includes Twiga Foods, BitPesa and Branch International.
