Qatar Airways customers can now enjoy 35 percent discounts when booking seats for two or more passengers travelling together starting this month.
The airline says the discounted price is valid for bookings made between February 11 and 18 for travel until December 11, in the business class section.
Qatar Airways chief commercial officer Ehab Amin said the promotion dubbed ‘Qatar Airways’ Companion Offer’ gives travellers an opportunity to enjoy flights alongside their families and friends across 160 destinations world-wide.
“With this unique promotion, we want to encourage our passengers to experience the many special moments travelling together can provide,” Mr Amin said.
The state-owned airlines recently stepped up fight for a share of the African market through the launch of Doha and Mombasa route last December.
The airline will fly the route four times weekly.
The Doha-Mombasa flights are operated with an Airbus A320, with 12 business class and 120 economy class seats, with a flight time of just over six hours.
This is Qatar Airways’ second local destination after Nairobi, and the move is part of a series of the airlines’ expansion plans into Africa.
Other key African cities served by the airline include Addis Ababa, Durban, Johannesburg, Casablanca, Marrakech, Tunis and Seychelles.
Qatar Airways is one of the leading global airlines and has a modern fleet of more than 230 aircraft flying to business and leisure destinations across six continents.
The airline was named the best carrier at The 2017 World Airline Awards in Paris.
It, however, currently faces stiff competition from Lufthansa of Germany, Etihad and Emirates of the United Arab Emirates.
