A one-and-a-half-year-old girl was on Tuesday morning pulled alive from the rubble four days after a building collapsed in Huruma, Nairobi.
The girl was rescued at 4am and was rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital.
National Disaster Management Unit Incident Commander Pius Maasai told the Nation that the girl appeared to be in a stable condition.
In a statement issued Tuesday, the Kenya Red Cross said the child was found "in a bucket wrapped in a blanket".
"She appeared dehydrated with no sign of physical injuries," the Red Cross said.
Nairobi County Police Commander Japheth Koome said the child's rescue has given rescuers hope of finding more survivors.

Mr Maasai said the search and rescue operation was still under way.
“We appeal to anyone who has a missing relative to be patient since the exercise is delicate due to balancing both safety of rescuers and victims,” he said.
Police said the two brothers who own the building that collapsed will appear in court Tuesday.
