Have you drunk good wine in Kisumu?

You will find excellent wine in the most unlikeliest of places. Like in Kisumu, Acacia Premier Hotel. There I was dozing off after a long trip from the village.

I don’t know nothing about wine but my lovely company did.

I was on whisky and almost falling asleep while she was banging on about the wine she was drinking.

“I can’t believe you have such good wine here by the glass.”

She gushed at the waiter. Any other day I would have taken exception at that statement. What do you mean you can’t believe we have such good wine here by the glass? Are we not worth having great wine here in Kisumu by the glass? But I was tired and sleepy.

The waiter mentioned that their wines were from Portugal and showed her a list of the wines.

Across a function was going on in one of the conference rooms.

At Acacia Premier you are drawn to the bar by the pool because it has a wonderful view at night.

But I had never been in Buzz bar before and tonight seemed like the night to check it out given that I was only planning to have one drink.

Unbeknownst to me, there was Portugal wine and my company wasn’t planning on leaving soon. So I sat there and listened to this conversation about wine and all.

Buzz bar is a more of a lounge than a bar. It has low lighting and low chairs and low music. And people converse in low voices.

It’s the perfect place to unwind. It has a view of the city but that could be intentional given that it’s a more intimate space.
