The former Capital Markets Authority (CMA) chief executive officer Stella Kilonzo has been appointed as a division manager at African Development Bank (AfDB) a year and a half after she resigned from the capital markets regulator.
The former CMA boss Stella Kilonzo, who stepped down from the regulator at the end of June 2012, has been appointed division manager for financial sector development at the multinational lender.
“Mrs Stella Kilonzo is hereby appointed as Division Manager, Financial Sector Development (OFSD) with immediate effect,” said an internal memo signed by Donald Kaberuka, President AfDB.
Mrs Kilonzo stepped from the capital markets regulator after one four year term.
She was in December last year appointed to the board of ARM Cement, was thereafter in February this year appointed to the board of Nigerian investment bank UBA Capital then was in April this year appointed to the board of Liberty Kenya.
“Thank you, Board Members, for your kind congratulatory message. I look forward to contributing to Africa’s development,” said Mrs Kilonzo in a statement posted on her Twitter handle on Tuesday.
She is also a one of the private sector representatives in the taskforce which was reviewing parastatal policies and proposing a new policy direction for them.
