The government is scouting for new office space to host two commission secretariats in Upper Hill in Nairobi.
According to tenders advertised, the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) and National Police Service Commission(NPSC) have identified Upper Hill, a fast-rising financial hub, as the location of choice.

The NPSC is also looking for an ‘exclusive’ or ‘single tenant’ premises to house its secretariat, preferably within Kilimani or Upper Hill that should have parking space for between 75 and 100 vehicles.
“A suitable premises for NPSC headquarters should be within a 10-kilometre radius from Nairobi central business district, easy to secure, accessible and not more than 150 metres from the main road. It should be easily accessible via public transportation,” said the notice.
The NPSC, whose tender notice expires on October 10 is housed at Skypark Plaza, in Westlands, Nairobi.
The tenders are set for opening on October 10 at their boardroom at Sky Park Plaza’s 4th floor.
The NPSC is also seeking space for the counselling centre, preferably a standalone building within 21km from the central business district of Nairobi.
“It should have space to accommodate at least five or six administrative offices, three consultation rooms as well as 25 to 35 separate residential rooms within the compound boasting of adequate open space, not less than 1 acre for recreational facilities,” it says.
