Heavy rains to continue in several parts of the country

Kenya Metrological Department director Peter Ambenje, said Sunday that heavy rainfall of more than 50mm in 24 hours is expected from Monday, May 21 in parts of Western, Central and North Rift Valley.
He also said that Central region and parts of northern Kenya will also receive heavy rainfall until Tuesday, May 22.
During this period, counties expected to be affected includes Turkana, Marsabit, Samburu, Mandera, West Pokot, Elgeyo Marakwet, Trans Nzoia, Uasin Gishu and Nandi.
Several parts of the country will continue receiving heavy rainfall between tomorrow and Tuesday, a according to a weather forecast by the Kenya Metrological Department.

“Residents in urban areas are advised to be on the lookout for potential flash floods,” says the weatherman.
“Flood water may suddenly appear in places where it hasn’t rained heavily and can be deeper and faster than it looks. Do not walk in moving water or drive through it.”
