Kenya has reported 133 additional cases of Covid-19, pushing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 3,727.

Speaking at Ol-Kalou, Nyandarua County, Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said thirty-three patients have been discharged from various centres, in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,286.

Mr Kagwe also announced the death of one more patient. This brings the total virus deaths to 104.

"The number of infections continue to rise in the country and we must do something as individuals to stop the trend," he said while commending Nyandarua County for remaining coronavirus free.

He noted that out of 600 samples tested in the county, all had turned out negative.

"However, this does not mean that the people of Nyandarua are immune from contracting the virus," he added.
