Telecoms operator Vodacom Tanzania has appointed an acting managing director after it failed to unlock a work permit stalemate that has kept Safaricom’s #ticker:SCOM Sylvia Mulinge from taking up the position five months since her appointment.
The Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange-listed telco, which is majority owned by Vodacom Group, said that Hisham Hendi will hold the position until the issue is resolved.
