The Vision 2030 Delivery Board (VDB) is looking to competitively recruit a new director general following last year’s exit of Mugo Kibati, a presidential appointee.

The board’s chairman James Mwangi said that the vacancy had been advertised internationally with a view to attracting the most suitable candidate.

“This competitive recruitment process seeks to tap the best Kenyan brain to head the VDS as part of our commitment to ensure the timely delivery of the Vision,” he said during a visit at the proposed Konza Technopolis.

Mr  Mwangi said that only the most suited applicant would be considered for the job to steer the nation towards attaining a middle income economy status by 2030.
