Victoria Commercial Bank after-tax profit dropped 17 per cent last year attributed to lack of a one-off gain booked from disposal of assets in 2015.

The small lender posted Sh592 million in net profit for the year ended December 2016 compared to Sh713 million a year earlier.

It booked a one-off income of Sh242 million in 2015 after disposing of its stake in Brookhouse School to UK-based equity fund Educas.

Victoria Commercial Bank continued its decade-long zero loan default record, with the audited financials showing the lender had no non-performing loans.
