Six shortlisted for the CCK director-general position

A recruitment firm - Manpower Services has shortlisted six contenders for the post of Communications Commission of Kenya (CCK) director-general setting stage for the final interview by the board.

The six were selected from a list of 47 candidates who had expressed interest in the post that became vacant after the court nullified the reappointment of Charles Njoroge by the Information Minister Samuel Poghisio.

The court had ruled Poghisio's move illegal since he went against the advice of the Board not to reappoint Mr Noroge.

The board is now expected to select three names out of the six and forward them to Mr Poghisio, for appointment to the sensitive and strategic position in Kenya's public service.
