Nairobi-based investment bank Genghis Capital has settled a debt to a South African businessman who had threatened to auction its office assets to recover the amount, averting a potential crisis that would have disrupted its operations.
The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) revealed that the investment bank paid Sh64.6 million ($500,000) to businessman Auswell Mashaba under a court-facilitated settlement.
