MTN Uganda has raised its interim dividend by 51.5 percent to Sh0.36 per share (Ush10 per share) for the six months to June 2025, despite recording a 9.7 percent drop in net profit to Sh9.69 billion (Ush266.95 billion) after a one-off tax charge.

Kenyan investors who bought shares in the company are thus set for an earnings boost from the higher distribution that totals Sh8.1 billion, which will be made on September 19 to those on the shareholder register on August 27.
