Former Safaricom chief executive Michael Joseph has said that he stepped down as board chairman to devote more time to the telco’s investments in Ethiopia and the national carrier Kenya Airways.
In a personal statement released Friday after the announcement of former ICDC and Kenya Pipeline Company John Ngumi as the new chair, Mr Joseph said his decision would allow him the flexibility to support the telco’s forays in the populous Horn of Africa nation.
