Kenya, Uganda in talks with Dangote over EA refinery

President William Ruto and his Ugandan counterpart are in talks with Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, to set up a refinery in Tanzania to purify crude oil from the five East African countries.
Mr Dangote, who is in Nairobi for a two-day summit convened by the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC) to champion cross-border infrastructure, said he stands ready to back the East Africa refinery to match the scale of the one he has delivered in Nigeria.
