Kenya Bureau of Standards (Kebs) has cleared 11,292.243 tonnes of cooking gas imported by Lake Gas after the Tanzanian firm met the requirements needed to guarantee safety for consumers using the commodity.

Kebs confirmed it released the consignment, the first by the Tanzanian firm from its handling facility in Kilifi, on July 25 after the company filled the cooking gas with the required levels of the odorant which is required to enable leak detection.
