Sun King expands to Ethiopia in Sh20bn solar deal

Kenyan solar products firm Sun King is set to enter the Ethiopian market under a Sh19.5 billion ($150 million) investment plan, marking one of its largest expansion bets in Africa as it targets millions of households without reliable electricity.

The company has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ethiopian Investment Commission to fast-track its entry into the Horn of Africa nation, with operations expected to begin almost immediately.
