Telecoms infrastructure firm Atlas Tower Kenya (ATK) is investing $52.5 million (Sh6.8 billion) to build an additional 300 telecom towers, targeting mobile network operators and internet providers such as Safaricom, Airtel Kenya and Telkom Kenya.
Atlas, which currently owns and operates 439 towers in the country, plans to use part of the funds to go green, by taking some of the existing infrastructure off grid through installation of solar power.
