Former Vivo MD's gamble on politics set to pay off

A leap of faith by former corporate honcho Polycarp Igathe, who quit his plum position as CEO of Vivo Energy Kenya to run alongside Senator Mike Sonko for Nairobi's top political seat, could soon yield dividends for the youthful executive.

The pair's ticket was in an early lead Wednesday morning in their race to unseat incumbent Dr Evans Kidero - who served as Mumias Sugar's #ticker:MSC managing director for ten years before jumping into politics.
