Mbadi: Kenya willing to grow stake in the Dangote refinery

Kenya will acquire extra shares beyond the 10 percent the country has been allocated in Aliko Dangote’s Lamu refinery if other East African countries opt out or buy few stocks.

The regional governments have been offered up to 30 percent of the refinery, with Kenya's allocation set at 10 percent as Ethiopia and Rwanda expressed interest in getting a piece of the Sh2 trillion refinery, whose construction begins Wednesday.
