Private businesses are set to benefit from enhanced credit from banks during the current quarter ending September, after commercial lenders reported improved liquidity during the three months ended June 2025, on the back of increased customer deposits and aggressive loan recovery efforts.
The latest credit survey published by the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) reveals that 87 percent of the 36 commercial banks studied during the review period reported an improved liquidity position, while 13 percent reported a decline.
