Receipts from taxes by the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) rose faster last month compared to the same time last year, despite disruptions linked to the anniversary of the deadly anti-Finance Bill, 2024, protests.
New data from the National Treasury show that tax receipts grew faster at 7.5 percent in the first month of the fiscal year to reach Sh171.5 billion from a growth of just 2.8 percent previously to Sh159.5 billion.
