The Kenya Bureau of Standards (Kebs) has asked for more time to carry out due diligence on a Chinese firm that was initially disqualified from a multi-billion shilling tender for inspection of goods before shipment to Kenya.

Kebs returned to the Public Procurement Administrative Review Board (PPARB) seeking an extension, saying the 21 days granted to conduct the exercise were insufficient.
