About 9,000 families living on the railway reserve in Nairobi will be relocated to a World Bank-financed housing scheme from September, making way for high-speed cargo trains.
The families occupying the land that belongs to Kenya Railways Corporation in Nairobi’s Mukuru, Kibera and Kaloleni areas will move to the low-cost houses built at a cost of Sh7 billion.
