Lamu cut off from electricity, water since Sunday due to floods

Lamu has been without electricity and water since Sunday in what Kenya Power links to a collapsed transmission network following heavy rains.

Residents said the blackout started Sunday 11pm, but Kenya Power maintained that the interruption happened Monday.
