Multinationals reduce expat workers for first time in 5 years

Resident companies with foreign assets and liabilities last year cut foreign workers for the first time in five years, findings of a freshly released survey suggest.

The State-commissioned 2024 Foreign Investment Survey report shows that the number of expatriates in firms with foreign investments fell 12.52 percent in June 2024 to 3,502 workers from 4,003 a year earlier.
