Former corporate honcho Polycarp Igathe has formally vacated office as Nairobi deputy governor following the expiry of his resignation notice, dashing hopes of reconciliation with Governor Mike Sonko.
Mr Igathe, who left Vivo Energy Kenya as MD last year to run alongside Governor Mike Sonko for Nairobi’s top political post, tendered his resignation letter on January 11 via twitter to be effective Wednesday in a surprise move that left thousands of his supporters shocked.
