Encourage medical personnel to look for jobs in foreign countries

If the government is not hiring enough nurses, it should facilitate their job quests abroad. bd graphic

I have mentioned here previously some of the trappings that come with a middle-income economy. Certain jobs cease attracting interest and fewer locals are willing to take them up because you can earn a decent income in other less demanding areas. The result is glaring shortages in the health sector.

Top of the list are medicine and nursing among others. Just last month, Germany rescinded restrictions on hiring foreign doctors unless no local or EU doctor could be found. It seems there aren’t that many physicians. Even in the US, immigrant and non-native doctors will at some point overtake natives. Kenya too is headed there. It is not unusual to hear of doctors in boardrooms, banking halls, and even cockpits.
