NCBA share rallies on news of buyout offer from Standard Bank

NCBA Group’s share price gained 9.7 percent in early trading on the Nairobi Securities Exchange to hit a record high of Sh76.25 on news that the bank is the acquisition target of South Africa’s Standard Bank Group.

Bloomberg News reported Tuesday morning that Standard Bank has authorised its local subsidiary –Stanbic Holdings— to engage NCBA with a goal of concluding the proposed deal in a matter of months.
