One-year paper emerges investors’ favourite in T-bill auctions
Investors are showing a clear preference for one-year Treasury bills as they chase the return margin of 1.5 percentage points the paper is paying above the 91- and 182-day T-bills.
Investors have shown a preference for the one-year Treasury bill in the 11 auctions done since the beginning of the fiscal year, as they chase the return margin of 1.5 percentage points the paper is paying above the 91- and 182-day T-bills.
The weekly sales done since the beginning of July have raised Sh120.75 billion from the 364-day T-bill, compared to Sh83.4 billion for the 91-day T-bill and Sh66.8 billion for the 182-day paper.
