Car & General share rattles NSE with 963pc price gain

Car & General’s share has hit a ten-fold increase over the last 12 months, making the stock the latest to benefit from outsized gains driven by speculative retail investors.

The rally has raised the company’s valuation by 936 percent from Sh2.65 billion to Sh27.41 billion in the space of 12 months, handing its owners a Sh24.76 billion boost in paper wealth in the period.
