It has now emerged that City Hall used restricted tender to award a company the contentious Sh6.3 million contract to supply fireworks to the county.

The damning revelations were revealed during a watchdog committee meeting Thursday on Auditor- General’s 2016/2017 report where Nairobi county government was cited for flouting the Public Procurement and Disposal Act, 2015 by using a restricted tender instead of an open one.
