Businessman Yagnesh Devani will be held at the Nairobi Industrial Area Remand prison for the next 13 days awaiting a ruling on whether he will be released on bond, a court has ruled. This order came after he denied charges of fraudulently disposing of mortgaged petroleum products in September 2008.
Chief Magistrate in the anti-corruption court, Thomas Nzioki ordered the billionaire to remain in remand as he decided on the application, which was opposed by the prosecution arguing that he is a flight risk.
