Which way for Kenya trade with US as Agoa ends less than 30 days?

In less than 40 days, one of Kenya’s greatest economic lifelines could come to an end. On September 30, the African Growth and Opportunity Act (Agoa), the trade framework that has cemented Kenya’s position as Sub-Saharan Africa’s apparel manufacturing hub, is set to expire.

The US Congress is broadly supportive of its renewal, with Democrats and Republicans aligned. But support in Washington means little if Kenya itself is not urgently and visibly fighting for its survival.
