As a young lawyer I attended a training for public interest lawyers in environmental law in Uganda over 20 years ago. At that time, I marvelled at the robustness of the Ugandan cases and the innovative way the court decisions were couched.
Fast forward to this past week at a virtual training of young public interest lawyers from East Africa. This latter training is a month-long residential session in the city of Arusha for the fellows.
