Fly-Sax launches Uganda flights

Private charter airline Fly-Sax will Friday launch flights to Uganda, flying twice daily to Entebbe from Nairobi and Mombasa.

“We are launching a new route to meet the ever-increasing demand for low-cost, efficient and safe air travel between Uganda and Kenya,” Don Smith, CEO & founder of Fly-SAX, said in a statement Thursday.

“Uganda forms part of our multi-hub strategy operating out of Nairobi and Mombasa, serving major cities in East Africa as well as the popular beach and safari destinations within Kenya.”

Uganda’s attraction

The National Geographic listed Uganda among the top 10 destinations to visit in 2013 with its Kidepo Valley National Park ranked number 3 in ‘Africa’s 10 Best National Parks 2013’.

Fly-Sax is the latest among small airlines which are expanding to the East African market to grow earnings.

Kenya Airways’s low-cost subsidiary Jambojet is also set to start flights to nine major East African destinations after receiving a licence from the regulator.
