French carmaker Renault launches two car models in Kenya

Renault Kenya has unveiled two more cars in the local market bringing to eight the number of its models since re-entry four years ago.

The French brand has unveiled the Renault Sandero and Logan brands that come with outstanding features and a competitive price for cars in the same category.

“These two will be the best choice for anyone looking out for affordable, fuel-efficient and comfortable day to day car,” said Renault Kenya Brand Manager Jonathan Santos.

The Logan comes installed with the New Media Nav Evolution system that includes an integrated rear view camera, air conditioner and steering wheel-mounted audio controls.

The model offers lighter driving with seamless acceleration and better stability.

The Sandero model boasts redesigned front end panel and has more pronounced chrome grille. It has a new front and rear lighting signature making vehicle ideal for adventure lovers.

Both Logan and Sandero adopt the lighting signature common with all of Renault’s recent models, with the characteristic C shape on both front and back.

On the front, the signature is clearly visible both at night and day thanks to the new LED daytime running lights.

The radiator grill is made using Renault’s special design, which sits seamlessly alongside the new bumpers and fog light rims. The rear of the cars has also been given the same treatment.

In February, Renault Kenya launched its Koleos brand in the local market but said had no immediate plans to assemble its cars in Kenya.

Mr Santos said Renault plans to open more after-sales and service centres.
